The servant of God James is asking a very simple question but one that carries a lot of weight. Who among us can attest that they haven’t been afflicted?(but the real question is, how many people are crying because of our wrong doings to them?)….many of us are even contemplating on how to revenge, but here is a big question, are you ready to pray? are you ready to look at that persons face and say to them i have forgiven you?
Without the grace of the Lord working in us, many a times we lie to ourselves that we have let it go, but deep down we know that its not yet over, We have that voice telling us they must feel what i felt. So how then do i pray? Is there a way i can seek Gods intervention and let it go?
16: Confess your faults one to another, and pray for one another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
The only way to have all the heavy burden of forgiveness off your chest is by first dealing with yourself. How now? We have to agree that we are not perfect ourselves, and there are things we have done that are against Gods will, unless we come out clean in our conscience, then the devil will have a foothold to counter our prayers. Once we seek the Lord to forgive our iniquities by confessing our sins to one another, we are assured of HEALING.
Once our burdens are taken care of then its easy for us to forgive knowing we were once in such a situation and through Gods grace our sins were forgiven and we received healing and the grace to let it go.
Brethren, the Lord is merciful, lets seek him and strive so much to first working on ourselves so that we may be in a position to change others through the grace of God working in us.
1 Peter 2:12~ Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.
Always remember its starts with you, before everything ask yourself, is anyone in trouble because of my actions?
May the peace of God which passes all understanding be with us.
AMEN.
